Share your software with others. Profit if they profit.
Put your code on GitForge. Anyone can fork it and make it their own. If they sell their version you get a cut of every sale. Their forks owe you too.
$ git remote add forge ssh://[email protected]:22/you/weather-app.git $ git push forge main To gitsmith-ssh.nates-software.com:22/you/weather-app.git * [new branch] main -> main $
It’s just git. Your tools already work.
How it works
Bring your code
Push from your terminal. Or move your repos over from GitHub in a few clicks. History branches and tags come with them.
Let people fork it
Anyone can copy your project and build on it. You pick the rules. Personal use only. Or free to sell their own version.
Pick your cut
Set a royalty from 0 to 100 percent. When someone sells a fork of your work you get that share. If someone forks their fork you still get yours. Nobody down the line can remove it.
Get paid when they do
Every sale splits on its own. We keep 10 percent. Your cut comes next. The seller keeps the rest.
Here’s the math
Sam forks your app and sells their version for $20. Your royalty is 20 percent.
You wrote it once. You get paid every time someone builds on it.
Your code stays yours
Leave anytime
It’s plain git. Clone it and go. No export button needed.
Buy once own it
Apps sold here are bought once. No subscriptions to rent your own tools.
No surprise lines
The 10 percent fee and every royalty are shown before anyone forks or buys.
